FAQS

PPEC stands for Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care. Our center services special needs children from 0-21 year old, 12 hours/day and 6 days/week.

Children receiving any kind of skilled nursing services including medications, weight monitoring, frequent assessment, diabetes management, feeding tube care, tracheostomy care; conditions and disorders such as cerebral palsy, seizures, respiratory problems including the use of technological support like ventilator, CPAP, BIPAP, etc.

Children who require this type of care must be referred by a physician. However, come to see us or call us and we can help to get the process started. Once we are in contact with the physician who referred you, and after signing the consent, a care plan is created. From there, we can collect needed information and submit the plan to your insurance provider for approval.
PPEC center allows the child to receive multiple services without the inconvenience of driving to different places. It also offers socialization for the child, which may help improve mental and physical development. The main goal is to promote continuity of care through our specialized services.

In this PPEC, we offer a nurturing, clean and safe place for these children. Each child has their own crib and other items such as highchair, swing, bouncer, etc. We also have infection control protocol in place to prevent the spread of germs. Toys, highchairs, countertops, and other items are cleaned throughout the day with appropriate solutions. Hand sanitizer or handwashing is used after each patient care regardless of the use of gloves. We have multiple handwashing stations to reinforce hand hygiene, therefore keeping these children healthy. We do not only provide care, but “We Care”.
